The next morning, Saturday, we were up and eating the included hotel breakfast around 9am. It was going to be another hot day with temperatures in the high 30’s and low 40’s with the humidity so we loaded up our day pack with hats, sunglasses and water and headed back the Grand Central towards the 9/11 Memorial.
After we exited the subway, it was a short walk to the World Trade Center area. On the way, we passed a bunch of great street art.
The building below is the Westfield World Trade Center Mall. It’s a multi-level shopping, dining and transportation hub. Apparently it was a 4-billion dollar project. I think the architecture is fantastic!
