After we landed at Phuket Airport, we took a minibus shuttle to our hotel. It was cheap but took forever, almost 2 hours to get there once they dropped everyone off along the way. The hotel is quite nice and very modern in design. After checking in, we made the mistake of taking a shower then laying down to rest for a “few minutes”. Almost 15 hours later, we finally woke up and we were ready to start seeing Thailand. Clearly our bodies were telling us that we needed catchup on sleep. Since our time here is limited, we arranged a car and driver for 8 hours to take us around the island. It was a quite reasonable $40 CAD for the 8 hours. Our first couple stops we’re Karon Beach and a viewpoint to see Karon, Kata and a 3rd beach I can’t remember. While we were up there, a woman was selling photos with her eagle so of course Eduardo participated.
That is hilarious!! A 15 hour nap! Go Sleeping Beauty!
