Shakespeare, Tate Modern and St. Paul

Another grey, overcast day in London. This time, with drizzle! We trying to do all the indoor stuff in hopes of getting some sunshine later in the week. So we headed to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. It was a very good tour as they provide a tour guide with every admission.  It’s not the original theatre, but a recent rebuild based on archeological artifacts and documents found with building specifications.
Next we went to the Tate Modern museum. I’m starting to think that modern, contemporary art is more my speed.  I really liked the Picasso paintings as well as the sculptures. The pictures here are just a couple I took with my camera phone. The rest are on the main camera and are too big to post.
After a couple hours at the Tate, we walked over the Millennium Bridge and took a peek inside St. Paul’s Cathedral. This is where Prince Charles & Diana got married and where the Queen just celebrated her Royal Jubilee. Sorry, no photos allowed inside the cathedral.
Tomorrow it’s supposed to rain quite a bit, so we’ll likely do another indoor activity.
