We’re finally here. It was a long, tough haul to get from Heathrow to our apartment. The Picadilly line of the underground was having maintenance on it, so we had to change to an express shuttle bus to Hammersmith, then meander our way through a shopping centre to pick up the train line again. Then the trains were absolutely bulging with people. We had 14 stops to make to get to Kings Cross station and I don’t think our car could pick up any new passengers for the first 7 stops.
In any case, we made it and found our apartment about 10 minutes walk away. I’ll put up a photo of that later. Let’s just say that I now know where they get the saying “not enough room to swing a cat” from.
