Well our visit to Amsterdam is almost over. Today we went to the Rembrandt House museum. It’s only 5 minutes from our houseboat but we never made it there before today. Rembrandt was not who I thought he was. Turns out he was most famous for sketching and making prints of the sketch, not paintings.
The rest of the day we wandered around the parts of the city that we hadn’t seen yet. Had dinner at a great place called Rain. It’s in Rembrandt square, which was one street behind where we were staying. It turns out there was a ton of useful things in this area, but we always went the opposite direction each day. We didn’t discover it until yesterday!
Amsterdam has been great. And we couldn’t have asked for better weather. No rain the entire time and only one overcast day! I’m going to miss the canals, our house boat and the views. But the trip must go on. Time to get set for London!
